Unique Vanity Ideas For Custom Homes

Check out these unique vanity ideas for custom homes. The best way to have a home that fits your unique style and personality is to build a custom home. When it comes to the layout and design of a custom home, the sky's the limit. Working with a quality you can design a home with a theater in the basement, an outdoor living room, or even a gym off of the master suite.

One of the unique design options you can add to your home is a completely customized vanity. You might not think much about the various options for a vanity in your bathrooms, but having your builder install a unique one, helps the room show off your personality.

Here are a few unique vanity ideas you might consider for your custom home bathroom:

A rescued water trough is a great addition to a farmhouse chic master suite.

Using a water trough as your bathroom sink might sound a little rustic, but paired with the right accents and base, a metal trough makes your farmhouse chic style shine. Using the metal water trough as the sink, think about incorporating reclaimed wood for the base. These two materials will go well together and be a starting point for the rest of the room. As far as the faucet goes, you might consider a brushed copper faucet and knobs. Using a metallic or brass set might contrast too strongly with the metal water trough and throw the entire room’s design off.

Dining room console table redone to give a vintage vibe to the bathroom.

Console tables have been making their way out of the dining room for some time now. They make great entryway tables and entertainment stands because they are both stylish and functional. When it comes to the bathroom, though, you can create a vintage vibe by reusing one of these tables. You’ll lose some of the storage space to pipes, but the console table will most likely be big enough that the sink bowl can sit on the top rather than being cut into the table. The console table will also provide plenty of counter space for toiletries and cabinets or drawers for additional storage space of other bathroom necessities.

Secondhand or antique dressers bring style and eloquence to any bathroom.

If you’re looking for a unique eloquence, then it’s hard to beat an antique dresser. Whether you choose to paint and distress it, or leave it looking natural, the dresser will certainly class up the bathroom. Like the console table, the dresser is going to provide plenty of counter and storage space. Unlike the console table, though, the dresser will bring an antique look to the bathroom. For a really unique look, combine the antique dresser with a modern faucet.

End tables create separate spaces for a his and her style sink setup.

If you’reworking with a half bath or want to create a unique his and her style setup in a master suite, then end tables are the way to go. You might need to increase the height of the tables, but they’re going to provide the slimmed down version of a vanity you need for the space. In the half bath, the end table is going to be the perfect size. In the master suite bathroom, however, you might need to create another counter space or add matching shelves for more storage.
