Get Your Home Ready for Spring

With warmer weather, blooming flowers and longer days spring brings about a sense of renewal and freshness. Spring a great time to refresh our homes
and prepare for projects that will put you in the mood for spring! Here are some of the easiest ways to freshen up your home after a long winter.
Remove Winter Items
Spending more time inside over the winter months lead to more clutter inside the home. Bulkier coats, shoes and cold weather gear can take up a lot of
space in the home as well. It’s easy for paper to build up in the house after busy days. Take some time to put away winter clothes, clear out paper,
and change out bulkier winter decor.
Declutter Your Closet
Now that spring is here you will probably be switching out your wardrobe for lighter fare. Go through old clothes from last spring and give them to Goodwill
or the Salvation Army. You can also go through winter clothes that you haven’t worn for over a year, are damaged or you just don’t like anymore. No
use putting away more winter clothes that you don’t need to keep, right?
During the warmer weather we like to move from the cozy feel to a more open and airy feel. By simply rearranging and removing furniture you can feel like
you have a totally new room!
Another great way to update your space for spring is to paint. You can choose brighter cleaner colors to brighten your mood and energize your space. It’s
also really fun to see what the new choices manufacturers are choosing for the trendiest colors of the year.
Bring in the Spring
Spring just doesn't have to arrive outside. Bring Spring inside with fresh flowers, hanging vases and potted plants. Add succulents to your kitchen window
sills or your coffee table. The Spring season brings new seasonal scents. Consider adding candles with scents that remind you of spring. If you have
allergies or are sensitive to scents try natural potpourris with dried fruit and herbs.
